Anderson is still waiting to join 600 clubs as Buttler lets Pakistan drop aid

England will secure their first Test series against Pakistan in a decade if they avoid defeat in Southampton.

The quest of England ‘s great James Anderson to take 600 Test wickets was delayed by another dropped catch on Monday before the bad weather reinforced Pakistan ‘s hopes of drawing.

Anderson, who started the third Test’s fourth day play with 598 wickets at this stage, induced an edge from Shan Masood, then a relatively routine chance floored on three, but wicketkeeper Jos Buttler.
