White House claims that US troops were wounded in confrontations with Russians in Syria

The White House National Security Council said a Russian vehicle was hitting a U.S. mine-resistant ATV that was injuring the crew.

The White House said on Wednesday that two US armoured cars were surrounded in northeastern Syria by U.S. troops wounded after Russian military vehicles and assault helicopters.

Videos of the confrontation posted on Twitter, apparently taken by bystanders and the Russians themselves, appear to show Russian troop carriers and helicopters attempting to box US vehicles in and then push them out of the town, near Dayrick.
