Directed by Irene Taylor, “I Am: Celine Dion” aims to serve as an “energetic and poetic love letter to music” according to the press release. Taylor was nominated for an Academy Award for her 2009 documentary “The Final Inch.”
The documentary was produced by Sony Music Vision and acquired by Amazon MGM Studios. It will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in over 240 countries. While a release date has not yet been announced, fans can expect the film to premiere on Prime Video sometime in the near future.
Dion revealed in 2022 that she had been diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle rigidity and spasms. In the documentary, she opens up about battling the condition and the lengths she has gone to in order to continue performing for her fans.
